Halloween cocktail
I love making Halloween cocktails. Part of the fun in making a Halloween cocktail is naming it. What you name that cocktail recipe has a lot to do with what the cocktail is.
I got into making layered cocktail shots with Santa Panties. The name came bout when I said that the layers in the drink looked like a pair of Santa’s pants. A friend misunderstood and thought I said Santa’s panties. From that point on the drink was known as a panty drink.
Cocktail cream
In continuing with my Santa Panties and Cupid Panties series of fun cocktails, I decided to create another panty drink with cocktail cream, Witch Panties. The cocktail cream helps with the layer cocktails, but with this spooky cocktail, I did not do a layered effect.
Instead, I slowly poured the cocktail cream into the drink and it created this frilly spooky cocktail look. I really loved the effect the cream did with the liquor. This Halloween cocktail was beautiful to look at.
Sweet cocktails
I do love sweet cocktails. However, since I was using Midori liqueur and raspberry vodka, I wanted to cut the sweet a bit. So I used light cream or cocktail cream in this Halloween cocktail. The cream really balances out this cocktail shot.
Midori liqueur
If this is a Halloween cocktail, why use a melon flavored liquor like Midori liqueur? Honestly because of the vibrant green color. I know you may not think of melon as a Halloween flavor, but the green color is perfect for a spooky drink!
Since Midori liqueur is melon flavored, what flavor would mix nicely with it? Raspberry vodka! Raspberry and melon go well together. Then mix in that cream, you got almost like a starburst flavor for this cocktail recipe, Witch Panties!
Witch Panties Cocktail
Witch Panties is a fun Halloween cocktail. This spooky cocktail contains Midori liqueur to give it that glowing green color. Add in a little cocktail cream and you got a sweet cocktail!
Ingredients
- 2 oz Midori liqueur
- 1 raspberry vodka
- 1/2 oz light cream
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker add the Midori and the raspberry vodka.
- Pour into a glass
- slowly pour in the cream
- Serve it up and ENJOY!
