Easy Homemade Ice Cream Recipe
I love ice cream. I can not resist an easy homemade ice cream recipe! Especially now that I am in Florida, homemade ice cream is always in my freezer.
A long time ago Ben and Jerry’s had an ice cream flavor called White Russian. I really liked it, but it did have a tiny amount of alcohol in it making it alcoholic ice cream. Ben and Jerry’s retired White Russian.
White Russian Ingredients
What are the White Russian ingredients?
- 1 2/3 oz (5 parts) vodka
- 2/3 oz (2 parts) coffee liqueur
- 1 oz (3 parts) fresh cream
Can I take a White Russian cocktail recipe and make it into alcoholic ice cream? I think so!
Alcoholic Ice Cream
Looking over at my bar table, I saw 2 bottles sitting together, a Coffee Liqueur and Pau Maui Vodka. So I went about using these 2 flavors to create this easy homemade ice cream recipe. After all who would not want an alcoholic ice cream??
How did this White Russian ice cream come up with the name Maui Snow? It is because I used Pau Maui Vodka. Here is a little bit about this Hawaiian Vodka:
Pau Maui is the only ultra-premium vodka crafted from Hawaiian pineapples. While there is no hint of pineapple flavor in the finished product, the Maui Golden ® pineapple provides a nice, clean mash to start from. Once distilled, it is mixed with crystal clear Hawaiian spring water. Handcrafted in small batches by Haliimaile Distilling Company, Pau Maui vodka is the essence of purity and cleanliness. – Pau Maui Website
So why not rename this White Russian ice cream to Maui Snow in honor of the vodka that is one the White Russian ingredients! Trust me this alcoholic ice cream is da bomb!
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup half and half

- In a pot, add the milk products and sugar.
- Stir them together and heat the milk to 170F degrees.
- Take off the heat and let cool off in the fridge overnight.
- Once the base has cooled off, usually about 40F degrees, add the liqueurs.
- Add everything to your ice cream maker and start mixing it together.
