Fun Breakfast Ideas

Let’s be honest, breakfast can be borning. So fun breakfast ideas are needed so breakfast isn’t so borning. One of the best ways to come up with fun breakfast ideas is with a breakfast pastry.

Princess-Toast

Disney Princess Breakfast

Maybe I have princesses on the brain because of my Disney Blog but I was inspired by some sprinkles from Sweets and Treats! I saw these cute princess inspired sprinkles and thought these would be perfect for a Disney princess breakfast as a fun breakfast idea!

Princess Toast

I am sure you saw that vitamin commercial where the kids give the mom toast and say “Mom, we made you Princess Toast!” She then says, “I have no idea what is in princess toast.”

That commercial is what inspired my princess toast recipe, only with a few changes. In the princess toast commercial, it is bread with frosting and sprinkles.

Ok, that toast recipe looks very very sweet. Honestly, I do not think a real-life princess or even a Disney princess would eat overly sweet toast.

Breakfast Pastry

So what could I put on this breakfast pastry that is good and is more princess-like? YOGURT!  A princess would like her breakfast pastry to not real sweet but just sweet enough.

I decided on a lemon-flavored yogurt for this princess toast. But the bread is too plain for a princess. What type of bread would a princess eat for her princess toast?

Croissant Bread

Princess would eat croissant bread, not regular bread! Plus the croissant bread is sturdy and can handle whipped lemon yogurt spread on it.

One reason I went with lemon yogurt for the princess bread is that sprinkles can be sweet. If I wanted to add sprinkles on toasted croissant bread, then a tart flavor would balance a sweet.

The combination of the lemon yogurt, with a toasted croissant and princess sprinkles, is amazing. This is a breakfast pastry fit for a Disney princess breakfast!
