I admit I am having a low moment. A guy I am not even sure what our relationship was. Plus I actually gave a second chance as well, ghosted me. What the heck is ghosting? Well in the age of technology, it when someone simply disappears, they stop texting for no reason, without warning, it makes you wonder what you did wrong. Well,
What the heck is ghosting? Well in the age of technology, it when someone simply disappears. They stop texting for no reason, without warning. It makes you wonder what you did wrong.
Well, the first time we were kinda seeing each other. It ended because he did the same thing, ghosted me. I told myself, that is it, there will not be a third chance.
His excuse for the first time was he was busy. Which is true, he is in medicine like me, but come on, 6-month span and you decide to contact someone out the blue? That is ghosting with that much space between text conversations.
I do wonder, has technology ruined us? Everyone is a simple text away from each other. Some phones you can even see if someone reads your text, so no guessing involved. Normal, verbal communication, it is like it doesn’t exist sometimes. Sometimes you can really misread a text,
Normal, verbal communication, it is like it doesn’t exist. Sometimes you can really misread a text. Whereas in a verbal conversation, someone would not misunderstand as bad.
What do I mean? Take the phrase, “OH WOW,” depending on your tone it can take different meanings. It can be said with sarcasm, surprise, sadness, anger, or happiness. With texting that to someone, they can misunderstand if they read it wrong with the tone they think in their head.
I really do like old fashion, face to face communication. There really is a nice intimate art of talking. It is simple and is more enjoyable than texting any day. That is my own personal opinion.
Sometimes a recipe can be simple and be very delicious. All you need is a simple skillet. I admit I do like doing a one stop dish in the skillet, if that dish can be versatile and served for any meal, that is a bonus. That is what these potatoes are. The truth is, I started off creating this dish as a breakfast side dish, well it evolved into this great dish that can be for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
- 4-5 large potatoes diced
- 1 small onion diced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded Velveeta cheese
- In a skillet, melt the butter and add the potatoes and onions. Saute them till onions turn clear and the potatoes start to turn golden.
- Add in the cream, ranch dressing and sour cream. Still till it all smooth and starts to bubble.
- Then add the cheese. Continue stirring till the cheese is all melted.
- Take off the heat and serve it up and ENJOY!
