So since I decided I wanted to make a grill pizza, I thought it should be a vegetarian pizza recipe. What is a better vegetarian pizza recipe then Caprese pizza!

I love Caprese recipes. So making a Caprese pizza for pizza on the grill is an easy pizza recipe. I love the taste of basil, tomato, mozzarella, with a hint of balsamic!

Yield: 2 pizzas

Caprese Grilled Pizza

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes

Caprese Grilled Pizza is a naan bread pizza. What makes this pizza so special is that it is a pizza on the grill recipe! This vegetarian pizza recipe is perfect for the summer!

Ingredients

  • 2 naan breads
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 fresh mozzarella ball, sliced
  • 1/4 cup of fresh basil
  • 2 roma tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, divided
  • fresh cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Light your grill to medium.
  2. Brush the olive oil onto the naan breads. Be sure to get both sides of the breads,
  3. Put a layer of the pesto onto the naan breads.
  4. Drizzle the balsamic over the pesto.
  5. Top the pesto mixture with slices of the fresh mozzarella.
  6. Scatter the fresh basil on top of the pizzas.
  7. Top with the roma tomato slices.
  8. Season with fresh cracked pepper.
  9. Place the pizzas on the grill.
  10. Cover and let them cook for about 5 minutes,
  11. Check the pizzas, to make sure the crusts are not burning.
  12. Loosen the pizzas off the grill if needed.
  13. continue to cook another 5 minutes, to ensure that all the cheese is melted.
  14. Take the pizzas off the grill.
  15. Serve them up and ENJOY!
