Dark chocolate cookies I felt would balance the peppermint chocolate flavor I wanted for these Christmas cookies. Plus I was using peppermint crunch as a topping, the white and red look nicer on dark chocolate.
These dark chocolate cookies were not only an easy chocolate cookie recipe, but they were very tasty. I put the plate of cookies out and they disappeared within minutes.
Dark Chocolate Peppermint Crunch Cookies
Dark chocolate peppermint crunch cookies are an easy chocolate cookie recipe. The peppermint chocolate in this cookie recipe tastes amazing. Perfect for Christmas cookie ideas!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter soften
- 12 ounces dark chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies Andees has a good one that I like to use
Instructions
Cream the brown sugar and butter together till nice and fluffy. Set aside
Melt the chocolate chips, then add the melted chocolate to the butter mixture.
Next, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in flour, baking soda and salt.
Finally, add the peppermint crunch. Stir this in by hand.
Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Preheat the oven to 350F and bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are set
Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute. Remove unto wire racks and cool.
Serve them up and ENJOY!
