How to make fried mushrooms? Making fried mushrooms is quite easy. All you need is:
- Mushrooms
- Breading (can be breadcrumbs and eggwash or a batter)
- Oil
Basically making a fried mushrooms recipe, you bread the mushrooms, then deep fry them in oil for about 3-5 minutes.
Mushroom Batter
What makes these battered mushrooms stand out from all the deep fried mushrooms recipes is BBQ sauce with the mushroom batter. The batter for mushrooms is a simple flour batter, but dipping the mushrooms in BBQ sauce then the batter before you deep fry the mushrooms is what gives zing to this mushroom recipe!

BBQ Battered Fried Mushrooms
BBQ Battered Fried Mushrooms are deep fried mushrooms with BBQ flavor. This fried mushrooms recipe is so delicious. You will love how easy these breaded mushrooms are to make!
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- BBQ Sauce (your choice)
- 1 package whole button mushrooms
- oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, pepper, garlic powder, salt, and paprika together.
- Take 5 tablespoons of the flour mixture out and put it into another bowl.
- Add the egg and milk to that 5 tablespoons and mix until smooth.
- Put the BBQ sauce in another bowl and dip the mushrooms in it, covering the mushroom completely with the BBQ sauce.
- Take the BBQ covered mushroom and then cover the mushroom with the batter. Yes, the BBQ will start to blend into the batter it is ok.
- Cover the Mushroom with the BBQ batter.
- Roll the BBQ Battered mushroom in the flour mixture, cover it completely with flour mixture.
- Heat up about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a frypan, then fry the mushrooms in the oil for about 2 minutes then turn them to fry for another 2 minutes.
- Make sure you get all sides and that they are fried to a nice golden brown.
- Take them out of the oil and drain onto a paper towel.
- Once drained and cooled, then ENJOY!
