Christmas is soon
Can you believe Christmas is almost here? Where has this year gone? Truthfully it feels like it was yesterday I was traveling to Warren Ohio three days a week. That was actually this time last year I was doing that.
I will admit, I’m really trying to get into the Christmas spirit. However, I know I’m not the only one that isn’t in the spirit. I have had several patients, friends, co-workers are saying the same thing. The spirit is lacking and we all very behind in things for the holiday.
I don’t know if it because we had crazy weather, I mean it was 60 degrees 3 times this week and this is December. I am by no means a cold, snowy weather lover, but it does help give you that Christmasy feeling.
I know everyone has been saying how crazy this weather is. I even saw this on Instagram:
I am trying. I originally wanted to do 12 days of Christmas Cookies, but I didn’t even bake any Christmas goodies yet. Finally, I said to myself I need to do some Christmas recipes here.
That’s when I came up with the
which actually was inspired by a good friend of mine who came up with the flavors. I bounce ideas off on friends. Then they give feedback and ideas for it. That is how that margarita was born. I also have an idea for another cocktail, if all goes well.
I have been wanting to do something about the green bean casserole, so that was another holiday post could do. I still need something else I felt. I have been on a cranberry kick lately. I wanted to do something different. Cranberries are a holiday staple.
I make a raspberry salsa. I was thinking, why not focus on that for a holiday party recipes. Salsa is served at parties.
What if I take that raspberry salsa and switch a few things around and use cranberries, and make a cranberry salsa. Another thought I had since the cranberries should be cooked, why not cook them like I do when I make cranberry sauce with orange juice?
I made the cranberry salsa and took it to work, The verdict was they love it! This cranberry salsa is just a great combination of flavors. So I remade it, photographed it and voila! I bring you Cranberry Salsa!
