So I, let’s face it I like food! If I didn’t I would not have this food blog right? It is hard trying to lose weight and liking food and writing a food blog. Plus I am on a crazy work schedule and makes it hard to keep losing weight. I know I am whining, but I found the best solution It Works! Fat Fighters.

I hate to admit this, but as far back as I can remember I have always been on some sort of diet. I was born with curves, what can I say? About 12 years ago, the doctor put me on Xenical, which is now available over the counter and you know it as Alli. It worked but, as you may know, it has a very very very bad side effect, to put it mildly, you got, “ring around the bummy.” It was gross, when you’re a single woman in your 20’s, that ring was very embarrassing when trying to make the moves on a guy.

When I joined It Works! to be a distributor, it was not only those crazy wraps, which do work, by the way, I am amazed by the results and you can see how I am doing with them if you follow me on Instagram, but was the Fat Fighters that caught my attention. It was seeing this video made me want to try them.

So the first thing I did ask after seeing that video was, Was it like Alli and it “side effect?” I was told no. So I tried it and I really am amazed, nope there was no side effect of “the ring.” These little pills are great, especially when I have to do a restaurant review. They do help absorb some the carbs and fat.

Speaking of trying to diet with good food, there so many events this month in February isn’t there? I know more people who are doing a party of some sort from Superbowl to Groundhog’s Day to Oscars. I know work also has a lot of potlucks as well, so appetizers are needed. Sometimes when you’re in a rush or you are like me lately have a crazy life right now, you want something quick, easy and people will enjoy.

There is one recipe that everyone I know in Pittsburgh knows how to make. It is simple, with only 3 ingredients and delish! You make it in the crock pot and anyone can make this, no matter what your culinary level is and comes out yummy every time.

It is slow cooker meatballs. Traditionally, you use grape jelly, but I wanted to kick it up a notch and I used Cherry Polander all fruit instead in this Cherry Spiced Meatballs. The sweet of the cherry preserves with the spice of chili sauce, wow! This Cherry Spiced Meatballs is a great combo of flavors that will be a be a hit at any gathering you need an easy appetizer for.
