I am happy! I got 2 big things within 24 hours apart. One was being invited to join an Ad Network for Seduction in the Kitchen. Why is this big news? Well, it means this little blog is big time now!

All of the food blogs that very well-known are in ad networks. So to be asked to join one it means people noticed your site and also you got the traffic to support it. Most these ad networks want 100,000 views a month to join. Do I get that? No, I’m not that popular, so when this company approached me, I was thrilled. I just meet the minimum view requirement and they said to give them 3 months, I jumped at the chance and I am going to give them the 3 months with the ad network. What is an ad network? It is when a company will be in charge of the ad placement and ads on your website.

What was the other news? Well, Parade wrote me that my Smoked Salmon And Dill Goat Cheese Grilled Cheese is being considered for the top 10 best grilled cheeses and if chosen it will be in the Sunday supplement of newspapers January 10th!! I’m might be in print!!! That is so awesome!!

It is funny, I changed my outlook. I decided I want to concentrate on positive. Stop with some the negativity I was feeling. As soon as I started changing to the positivity, good things started happening. I do believe in the laws of attraction, this was a reminder to me that what you put out can affect you.

It has inspired me for my “New Years Resolutions.” Every year I make the resolution to lose weight. I start off strong then give up. I think this time. I’m doing one of two things. One is to challenge myself to 30 days. What am I challenging myself to? Two things actually, one is for 30 days I am going to keep positivity. The other is actually going to be a green leafy whole food challenge. Before anyone goes, you mean salads? Yes kind of but I got enough recipes I done and photographed that Seduction in the Kitchen will not be meatless. In other words I got the meat recipes that even though I will be meatless, this blog won’t be. However for you salad lovers during that time I do feel excited about coming up with new salads and dressings.

In the meantime, I still have a few weeks before January, it just time to love the sweetness I have been given. Life will surprise you with a sweet treat, like my news about a recipe of mine appearing in print. That’s something even if not chosen, is a sweet treat. Its something that delights me that I’m being considered.

So when you get a sweet treat, why not celebrate! For me, that is a drink. With the holidays also coming up, I thought, why not create something that is festive. I have been thinking about doing a cherry margarita. A friend gave me an idea of adding amaretto to this margarita. It doesn’t hurt to experiment, and this experiment came out very delicious. So why not call this the Holly Jolly Rita!

A Cherry Amaretto Margarita that is full of flavor and holiday cheer! A recipe from Seduction in the Kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cherry juice
  • 1 oz Simple syrup
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz amaretto
  • 1 1/2 oz tequila

Instructions

  1. Rub the rim of the glass with the lime slice to make the salt stick to it.
  2. Shake the other ingredients with ice, then carefully pour into the glass
  3. Cheers! and ENJOY!
