How To Increase Your Facebook Page Reach? There are simple steps you can do without spending money and get more people to see your posts.
-
So You Have A Blog
So you have a blog, you have readers, and you want to increase your presence on Social Media. The first thing you do is create a Facebook Page for your blog. You are posting on it but it looks like the posts are not reaching many of your fans.
Sound familiar? It is the common problem many bloggers face on Facebook. You have a Facebook page with thousands of likes, but only like 10% of those likes get to see your posts.
Why? It is all part of Facebook’s ever changing algorithm. They really want you to “boost” the posts so they will show it to more people. That is right. You read that correctly, Facebook wants you to pay to show your posts to your fans.
Now you will read about people that have huge success boosting. You will also read on Facebook in the groups of others that have no success. If you boost, there is still no guarantee that people will see your post.
Yes, you can take Facebook courses. Most are paid courses that will teach you the secrets of boosting. What if you are like me and are on a budget. Sometimes taking paid classes just do not fit in your budget.
Don’t fret there are ways around increasing your Facebook reach. Those ways do not involve money. It is simple things you can do on your page and other pages that help increase the posts reach.
I have always have had a huge reach when comes to my Facebook Posts. I figured out ways through trial and error. Plus also research as well. As Facebook introduces new features to us, their algorithm changes. You got to take that into account.

Share From Your Facebook Page
The first step is sharing from your page. You share to the groups from your actual page. The more shares a post has the higher the reach.
You see on every post the “Like”, “Comment” “Share” That share isn’t just for your fans. It is for you to use as well. How do I know this? Well when you click on that Share you get a choice:
It gives you the choice to Share or Share to a page that you own. If notice that Share… If you click on that it will give a drop down and one them says for a group. Type in the group you want to share to:
Now you will notice in the screen shots above. This particular post, prior to me sharing to the groups had a reach of 159 I did nothing to that post. I simply shared it to my page from my social sharing icons on Seduction in the Kitchen. I will share my older posts to the page so I can get traffic to them.
I shared this particular post at 1130 at night. I went to bed and as you see it was not liked, commented on or shared. Yet it got a reach all by itself of 159 reach. In all honesty isn’t bad for having nothing done to it. Some people tell me they lucky to get a reach of 20 on their page.
Anyway, 5 minutes later and I only shared to 3 groups look at the reach now:
It has jumped to 208. That is a gain of 49 people to see this post in 5 minutes. Now, let’s wait another 5 minutes and see how the reach increased.
I am not going to share to any other groups because well you got to be careful of how fast you share on Facebook or you end up in Facebook Jail. My rule of thumb is 10 -15 groups a day but spaced out like 3 in 5 minutes, an hour later another 3 shares in 5 minutes, then 2 hours later the 3-4 shares. Later that night before bed, the final number of shares.
Now it is at 230. That is another 22 people to see this post. My Facebook Page Reach is going up. In total, in 10 minutes of simply sharing to 3 groups, I gained 71 people to see my post.
By paying $5 to boost that post, you may gain that 71 people. I just did for free. Yes, you could get more by paying, but no guarantee, it is a risk. If it is a risk I want to take to increase my Facebook Page reach, I want to take the free risk.

What More Can I do To Increase My Facebook Page Reach?
Besides sharing to groups, there are little things you may not have realized you can do to increase your Facebook page reach. This next tip I am going to show you will not only increase but others page reach as well. Remember how I said every time Facebook introduces new features, algorithms changes?
Remember Facebook came out that we can now react to posts? Did you know those reactions weigh very heavily into the algorithm? Those reactions have a huge bearing on a Facebook page reach.
Many share groups on Facebook the rules are simple, “Like” and comment as yourself on a page’s post. That is a little outdated those rules. Why? Because of the reactions. It changed the algorithm of how many will see your post.
Liking a post is weighed as simply skimming along and mindless liking posts. In other words, Facebook views this as you didn’t really see the post. Honestly, it is because of sharing groups is why the like has the least amount of weight for a Facebook Page Reach.
Now choosing a reaction like “Love” has much more weight and will bring much more reach. This means that more people will see it in a timeline.
Why does “Love” or any the other reactions other than like have more weight? Well by choosing a reaction other than like. It shows Facebook, you actually read this post. You didn’t simply skim along your timeline liking away.
It is kind of like the old saying, “Actions Speak Louder Than Words.” The reactions are actions. Like is words. The actions speak louder than the words.
Looking at this post I put up for example. You see that it has 5,272 reach and it is only 13 hours old. The comments help get and have weight in reach. But not the heavy hitter like sharing from the page and “Loving” the post does.
Speaking of comments, there is a little controversy about this next advice I am about to give. It just hard to prove one way or the other as far as how to comment. Plus many people are used to old Algorithms where we didn’t have the options like we have now on these Facebook posts. The only way to see if it works for you is to just experiment.
That I did, and I noticed after I got advice from another food blogger to comment as my page, Seduction In The Kitchen on others posts rather than commenting as Deanna. My Facebook page reach started going up, this blogger was right in what she told me. What they said to me was a Facebook Page comments has a little more authority to another page then simply commenting as yourself.
You see I only have 3 comments on this post. All are from normal people, not pages. In reality, my reach should not be this high with only 3 comments. Yet it is.
Those 20 shares, some people loving the post instead of liking it, and me commenting as Seduction as Seduction in the Kitchen on other people’s posts increased my Facebook Page Reach for my posts. At one time pages that commented had really no bearing on how far a post would reach. However, things changed. More brands started having Facebook pages. So the weight was shifted to giving posts more authority if the page comment than just a person. So now authority is now in the Facebook Algorithm, where wasn’t really there before.

What I do With Other Page’s Posts
What I do now with others posts. I “Love” the post as Deanna but comment as Seduction in the Kitchen. It is a win-win situation. I am giving that other bloggers post a push, I am also giving my page authority with the comment. Both my page and their page is now getting more reach.

Ever Changing Facebook
The weight Facebook puts on how a post will do is always changing. With the next change and addition of Facebook, this will most likely change how they weigh how a post will do on Facebook. With that, we need to adapt to those changes and try a different way of doing it. You don’t have to spend the money to increase your Facebook Page reach. Just need to change up what you do on and with your page to increase the reach.

Just followed you on twitter, Sharing in groups was something new to me. Good time to refresh the knowledge and add something new to it. I have always admired facebook's potential to reach lots of people. I recently read a survey which revealed that most of the traffic for lifestyle, cooking, tips blogs traffic come from facebook which means there is a LOT of potential for bloggers to reach out to the people and get traffic from facebook.
