Cooked Salsa Recipe

The first time I had a cooked salsa recipe, was from a friend from work. I was surprised when she gave me her salsa recipe. She explained that a cooked salsa recipe really brings out the taste of salsas.

After she told me that, I started playing around with cooked salsa recipes. She was right, cooking the salsa really does improve the flavor of a salsa recipe!

Hot Salsa Recipe

When I was first developing this peach salsa, I used 4 types of peppers. The heat from those various peppers made it a hot salsa recipe. I was not intending this peach salsa to be such a hot salsa recipe. My friends told me to keep it that way.

The loved the heat of the salsa. The sweet peach with the heat of the peppers made a wonderful combo. However, this peach salsa is a slow burner. The more you eat the hotter the salsa becomes.

Margarita Mix

I know heat can get to be too much in a hot salsa recipe. So to cool this peach salsa down I added some margarita mix to it. The margarita mix with tequila really brings out the peaches in this peach salsa.

Peach Salsa

The real star of this salsa recipe is the peaches. This peach salsa may be a hot salsa recipe, but it is the peaches that is the real star. This peach salsa recipe is a great fruit salsa!

  6. You can serve it this way as a pico de gallo. Or transfer the salsa to a sauce pot and let it cook till everything becomes mushy.
  7. Take it off the heat, let it cool and then serve it up and ENJOY!
  8. Store in the fridge.

Notes

I use margarita mix with alcohol in it. You can use a virgin mix if you prefer.

Also, I found using from Delmonte the little fruit cups work well, I used about 4 of them, they are already chopped up and is perfect.
