  • Movies and Food

I remember something on the TBS station called Dinner and a Movie. The hosts, along with a chef would create a dish inspired by the movie they were showing. Then they name it after the movie somehow.

It would be cute titles too. It may not have been the title the movie but something that happened in the movie that famous. Like for example: “Nobody Puts Baby Back Ribs In The Corner,” For Dirty Dancing.

I have been obsessed with this idea of movies and food for a long time. In fact, I did something similar in one of my Parade posts called:

Delight Your Inner Kid: 11 Disney-Inspired Treats. That post was very popular for Parade for a very long time. People love the cartoon/ movie inspired foods. Surprising enough, the closest I have ever had to a movie inspired recipe was something I did for a Sunday Supper post called:

Citrus Avocado Shrimp Cocktail #sundaysupper

Citrus Avocado Shrimp Cocktail Seduction in the Kitchen

  • Movie Inspired Recipes

I decided I wanted to create a fun post for Seduction in the Kitchen. I have been doing many improvements on it. I can see that those improvements are really helping me in terms of traffic.

Something I do not have really on Seduction in the Kitchen is Round Up Posts. Why? Because I do these type of posts for Parade all the time. I get so many submissions when I call for a recipe topic that I can’t use all the submissions. I am limited to what I can use, I have been known to get from other food bloggers over 300 submissions for a topic.

I can’t post every day a new recipe on Seduction, so why not do the round-ups on here.  I do get so many good recipes submissions from the food bloggers. I think you, my readers will love seeing some variety on Seduction as well. Why not start with my favorite subject: Movie Inspired Recipes.

What a good idea for date night … sure puts a spin on the idea “dinner and a movie”. I’d say it’s a lot more fun to make dinner than buy it at a restaurant. And if you’ve got kids – this is absolutely the way to go!
