I had bought a spritz cookies press from a home cooking party I went to. For years that spritz cookies press just sat in a drawer. I had basically forgotten about it. 

That was until one day, I saw Spritz Cookies recipe online and remembered I had a spritz cookies press. After making that Spritz Cookies recipe, I soon was addicted to Spritz Cookies.

I was sent a package back in October from Minerva Dairy. In this package was Maple Amish Butter. It is a seasonal butter and it was perfect for butter cookies. There is just something special about Amish butter that makes for great butter cookies!

So these butter cookies really are maple cookies? Well yes, because I used maple butter. But what if you can not find maple butter? To make this Spritz Cookies recipe maple cookies, simply add a tablespoon of maple syrup to butter in this cookie recipe. You will have maple cookies!

So how did these spritz cookies become chai spiced? Well, I had also got a bottle of chai spiced syrup. Maple and chai go well together so why not put them into this Spritz Cookies recipe.

Maple Chai Spritz Cookies

Maple Chai Spritz Cookies

Maple Chai Spritz Cookies are rich butter cookie that is chai spiced. These are wonderful maple cookies is an easy Spritz Cookies recipe. Get out your spritz cookies press and make this great tasting Spritz Cookies recipe!  

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 18 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup maple butter, soften
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 TBSP Chai Syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment

  2. In a large bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugar.

  3. Blend in egg and chai syrup beating well.

  4. Gradually add the flour to the creamed mixture

  5. Press dough through cookie press onto baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until they are a nice light golden color.

  7. Remove the cookies and cool. Then serve them up and ENJOY!

Notes

 If you can not find maple butter, add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup to the butter mixture

I don't always comment, but I do always read (and enjoy!). The candied cinnamon swirls looked particularly tasty. I like the thematic run you're doing. Maybe start planning one for next month with lighter takes on heavier classics? New year, people looking to eat lighter, etc.
