Do you know what Canadian poutine is? Honestly, I had no idea what Canadian poutine was.  How I learned what poutine was when I described how I ate Kennywood fries: brown gravy and melted cheese!

Cheddar Cheese Curds

I told a friend that at Kennywood Amusement Park, in Pittsburgh, we would eat fries with melted cheese sauce and brown gravy. He told me that is Poutine if you substituted cheddar cheese curds. I had no idea that was Canadian poutine!

What is A Cheese Curd?

So what exactly is a cheese curd? Cheese curds are the moist pieces of curdled milk either eaten alone as a snack or in the popular poutine recipe.
