Brown Sugar Oatmeal

Oatmeal in general is simple to make. So what makes this Brown Sugar Cinnamon Oatmeal different? Honestly, I think it because I make a brown sugar solution to boil for the oatmeal.

Most people boil water, add oatmeal, then put in the bowl. Then they mix in the cinnamon and sugar. It is good. There is nothing wrong with doing oatmeal that way.

How To Make Brown Sugar Cinnamon Oatmeal

I actually add the brown sugar and cinnamon to the water instead. It makes a difference I think. In fact, people tried my oatmeal even say they like how I flavor it.

The thought of doing a cinnamon sugar solution to cook in is about infusing. I figure you are infusing this oatmeal recipe with flavor. The oats with cinnamon is now flavored inside the oats.

Anyone can make brown sugar oatmeal. It is a simple oatmeal breakfast recipe. Plus oatmeal with cinnamon has health benefits.

So if you are like me and need a change in your life, start off small with a simple breakfast recipe. This brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal is the perfect change you need. Let’s start a new lifestyle together!

I made this 4 times in the last week and never have we had oatmeal more in the past year. This recipe definitely does something and much better to cook altogether over mixing it all in at the end of cooking. Will be a keeper and made several times now on going forward for me and my growing 10yr daughter who’s always hungry it seems.

I make slightly different with 16oz of water to a cup and 1/2 oatmeal keeping everything else the same and it makes two good sized servings when done cooking with a perfect thickness that we add a splash of 2% milk over.

Most wonderful and highly recommended.

I’m always on the search for the most easiest of recipes and what’s nice about this is it’s super quick and easy in the mornings and makes a decent breakfast or can be made anytime as a decent snack like we just enjoyed late afternoon yesterday when the kiddo said she was hungry.

I’ll definitely be living on this delicious oatmeal recipe from now on and will have to keep the few ingredients in my cupboard needed to make this so that we can now enjoy often.

Thanks for sharing such a lovely treat with us. Please do post simple and easy few ingredients meals for moms like me. I like most is it’s so easy with simple ingredients that most people keep on hand and nothing fancy or exotic like most recipes these days. If I can make this without messing it up, anyone can.

Trust this recipe because adding it as you cook definitely makes the difference. I don’t know where these people come up with these nest ideas but it’s the best!

My husband and best friend of 22 years are both diabetics and my friend had a heart attack and stroke last year. I've always been underweight so I'm trying to learn healthy cooking choices to maintain my weight while helping two men I love diet and also satisfy two growing teenage sons. This was an excellent recipe that did all of that and quick. I did substitute some 2% milk for water and I made 5 times as much as this recipe. It turned out awesome however I should have used a bigger pot. Now i need to figure out how to get the milt and water i boiled over off my glass top stove. Pay attention if you choose to use milk so you dont make my mistake and stir to be sure not to scorch your milk in your pan. Aside from my human error this recipe was the best by far.

I love this! I made it for breakfast this morning (minus the raisins since I don't like them) and it was so good. It tastes better than the storebought stuff and much healthier as well.

I absolutely love starting the day with oatmeal.. it keeps my energy going for a long time. I might replace the raisins with dried cranberries but that's just personal preference.
