Cornbread With Bacon

Cornbread with bacon is a good start to a savory cornbread recipe, but what else can I add to this cornbread? Green onions! Bacon and onions are wonderful together but what about making this a recipe with gouda?

Recipe with Gouda

I love gouda! I love the smoky gouda the best. I do have a few recipes with Gouda like the Smoked Gouda and Bacon Potato Pancakes {Easy Potato Pancakes} So choosing Gouda cheese and making this food with bacon a cornbread with cheese was an easy choice for me to do!

Cornbread with Cheese

I know cheddar would be good for cornbread with cheese. But when you have bacon and green onions in a cornbread recipe, gouda would be a better choice for cornbread with cheese. I wanted to make this cornbread very savory recipe.

Chicken Stock

I substituted water in this savory cornbread with chicken stock to give the cornbread more flavor. The chicken stock just brings on flavor! The results were fabulous. This Smoked Gouda Cornbread just sang with flavor. This cornbread with bacon would be great to have with a nice big bowl of chili!

Bacon, Green Onion, and Smoked Gouda Cornbread combine cornbread with bacon, green onion, and smoked Gouda cheese for a delicious bread.
